AWARDS

June 9, 2010. Founder receives Coastal stewardship award.
BATON ROUGE, LA.

For the Bayou founder, Elizabeth Goodwin Welborn, recently received an award by the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana recognizing For the Bayou’s work in Louisiana’s coastal restoration efforts. Generally, Stewardship Award recipients are residents of Louisiana. Welborn, formerly of South Louisiana that now resides in the Bay Area, was recognized as a “Friend of the Coalition” through For the Bayou’s work in raising both money and awareness for Louisiana’s wetlands and coastal crisis. The keynote speaker at the banquet was James Carville, also a Louisiana native, and America’s best known political consultant.
